Natural Science Museum
is the pearl of Kotel region. The village has been declared a national architectural reserve. Every house is a unique monument of culture built by an unknown master.
     Eighteen Zheravna houses have been reconstructed for the needs of tourism, forming the Zlatna Oresha complex. Here the town's numerous guests are offered wonderful conditions for a holiday, excellent local cuisine, unspoilt beauty, cosiness and intimacy.
     Nearby lies the church complex with the old nunnery and a permanent exhibition of icons most of which were painted by local icon-painter Ousta Netko.
     The birthplace of the writer Yordan Yovkov lies in the Golyamo Burdo quarter - a single storey house with stone walls. In the yard you can see the sculpture of the writer, seated on a small chair absorbed in his magic world.
     Zheravna is the native place of many men of letters and scientists. The house of Sava Filaretov with its wonderful carvings is particularly interesting.

     A significant part of the houses are made of wood and wooden facing - typical of settlements along Kamchia river. Most of the houses have been turned into holiday villas.
     Gradets is the native place of the famous General R. Dimitriev.





 
is an architectural reserve located picturesquely in the eastern part of the Balkan Range. The beautiful surroundings, the romance of the old houses with their pavements and fragrant flowers, the narrow cobblestone streets are all very attractive. In summer the number of people in the village grows and its fair is held - a fine traditional festival.
     The village is the birthplace of Kara Tanas.

     Tourists will be able to quench their thirst at the fountain of the village square with water from distant sources, will see the monument of Zahary Stoyanov and visit the house of the first Bulgarian popular artist - Stoyan Buchvarov.
     The museum house of Zahary Stoyanov in the Yurta quarter possesses the familar warmth and modesty of the poor mountain home and tells of the life and work of this famous Bulgarian.





- a popular tourist place which attracts both with its lovely surroundings and stunning location. Two rivers run through the village which start from rich sources. Its inhabitants are famous for their industriousness and exceptional honesty. It is the birthplace of Anastas Kipilovski.
     The famous Roman fortress near Kipilovo is the best preserved on the Balkan Peninsula..
